Okay. For my English final tomorrow, I have to choose one of these prompts to write about:

1) Man's inhumanity to man
2) Environment's effect on character and personality
3) Personal desire vs. Responsibility

I can only choose one literary work to write about, too. My choices are:

1) Antigone - Sophocles
2) Things Fall Apart - Chinua Achebe
3) Taming of the Shrew - William Shakespeare
4) "Harrison Bergeron" - Kurt Vonnegut
5) "The Bet" - Anton Chekhov
6) The Scarlet Letter - Nathaniel Hawthorne
7) The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
8) A Separate Peace - John Knowles
9) And the Earth Did Not Devour Him - Tomas Rivera
10) The House on Mango Street - Sandra Cisneros
11) Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck
12) Our Town - Thorton Wilder
13) King Arthur Stories - White, Mallory, Steinbeck

Any suggestions on what to right about would help me out greatly. I have a couple of ideas, but I'm not exactly sure how to turn them into a full essay. My best combination is the 3rd prompt with the Scarlet Letter. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, especially specific direction. Thank you!
